Virtual Summer Programme 2021

For the second year running KAN’s summer residential weeks at Tonbridge and Cambridge were unable to go ahead, replaced, instead by a virtual summer programme. Building on the successes of the Spring Virtual Weekend we put emphasis on student choice and opportunities for connecting – with peers across the cohorts and with 1-1 mentor time. Highlights across the programme included: a talk on seizing opportunities from Baroness Sally Morgan, a long Q&A session with former Director General of the British Security Service, Lord Jonathan Evans, and fantastic mentor lessons such as ‘The role of oil in global politics’ and ‘Treating Viruses.’

Ahead of the event students received a KAN t-shirt in the post, along with an academic diary and details about their upcoming summer projectThe courses were super interesting and everyone was lovely
“I got to meet other students and mentors that had the same
